Principle
 |
The SONICSERT® threaded insert is installed using commercially available ultrasonic vibration devices. The surrounding material in the welding area is plasticised by the ultrasound vibrations and flows into the undercuts of the threaded insert.
A low-stress interference fit results on cooling. |
